47 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith carrying the shown aluminium bodywork coachbuilt by James Young have ever been built, and chassis-no. ELW 54 is presumably one out of only two with exactly the same design. The monumental vehicle with the long wheelbase of 3.38 m, an overall length of 5.70 m and an empty weight of 2.4 tons was the biggest Rolls-Royce offered in the 50's. Ordered as chauffeur-driven limousine with power divider window, the Rolls has been delivered in 1956 to the Comtesse de Boisrouvray in Paris. Years later the car was sold to the U.K., and showed up in the U.S. at the end of the 80's from where it was brought to Germany, since then in the hand of her first and only German owner. She is profusely equipped with customized extras, like an additional folding seat at the rear right side, air conditioning, a radio type "His Master's Voice" with electric antenna and a remote control device in the left rear armrest, factory-fitted cocktail cabinets whole way across the car, foot-rest, a lady's manicure set integrated in the center arm rest etc. The driver's compartment is kept in blue leather, the rear compartment shows in finest blue velours. Painting, chrome, interior (walnut) and the whole bodywork are in very good, mainly unrestored original condition, bringing back authentically times of luxury gone by. The powerful 6-cylinder engine supported by a smoothly working automatic make it easy to drive this big, impressive car. +++ Car is located in the Frankfurt/Main airport region. Shipping no problem. +++
