*** This car is SOLD. *** The mighty 500 SLC, crowning achievement of the C 107 series and the most expensive Mercedes at their time, were built from 1980-1981 in only 1154 examples (the preceding 450 SLC 5.0 had reached after all 1615 units), and the car presented here, first registered in august 1981, is among the last ones ever made. The odometer is showing original 110.000 km in total, and with the replacement engine fitted 20 years ago and having run just 25.000 km from new, this perfectly maintained and pampered SLC shows strong performance in any respect. This extremely rare and most elegant coupé is profusely equipped, and just to mention a few details, we have a painting in cypress-green metallic, a cream nappa leather interior, air conditioning by Behr, power windows, sun-roof, brakes, cruise control, tinted glass, radio Becker-Mexico with cassette, headlamp cleaners, rear axle with limited-slip differential, etc. Anti blocking system ("ABS") and four-gear automatic were already (newly-introduced) standard at that time.
