This beautiful and rare Mercedes 220 S Convertible has never been restored but is nevertheless in best condition both mecanically as well as cosmetically, due to decades of professional maintenance. Firstly delivered in 1958 to a wealthy factory owner in southern Germany, she stayed with him until 1978, then passing to a Mercedes-Benz subsidiary, being exposed on various regional classic car events. Since 1990, the 220 S is with her 3rd owner, who always cared for preserving the excellent original and authentic condition. The paint shows some minimal traces of usage, the chrome is perfect but for some minor results of parking maneuvres on the front bumper, the leather interior carries the slight and expected patina. Maintenance history comprises for example a renewal of soft-top, radiator, water pump, wooden interior, windscreen, exhaust, white-wall tires etc. as well as an overhaul of the carburetors. The Mercedes was of course always kept in a dry garage, taken out only at perfect weather conditions. Evaluating all the details and the car's overall condition, the odometer reading of 82.000 km suggests to be the actual mileage. Car comes with owner's handbook, workshop manual, all the registration documents proving the full history, and valid German M.o.T.
