Here we have one out of only 452 Lincoln Continental V-12 convertibles produced in the last production year 1948. Due to its spectacular design, in 1951 the Museum of Modern Art selected the Continental as one of eight automotive 'works of art'. Our particular car, since 20 years with her actual owner, has undergone a profound and professional restoration with respect to originality from 2000-2003, well documented by photos and numerous invoices showing remarkable expenses. Particular mention deserve the meticulous overhaul of the body, but also the works on brakes, hydraulic system, electric system, wiring, etc. The impressive (overall length 5,40 m) and luxurious Continental carries of course the usual serial equipment, e.g. power hood and windows, but also all available and period correct extras, like white-wall tires, radio, heater, and overdrive. The three gear manual shift harmonizes well with the high-torque V-12 engine and allows an even spanking manner of driving. +++ Car is located in the Frankfurt/Main airport region. +++
