*** This car is SOLD. *** Serial production of the Bertone-styled Lamborghini Countach, who got its name from the Piemontese dialect used at its production site in Sant'Agata-Bolognese and could be translated by 'what the hell...', started in 1974, and from 1982-1985 321 cars were built as LP 5000 S (LP stands for "longitudinale posteriore" and refers to the position of the mid-engine). The striking appearance of the car presented here is underlined by the sound of the powerful V-12 engine, fed by 6 twin-throat Webers 45, and the customized sport exhaust system. Apart from the poor all-round visibility it drives like an 'everyday car' as long as you stay below the maximum torque of 302 ft/lbs at 4500 rpm, just to start an inferno beyond that line, with the engine roaring and the car kind of burning up the miles. This Countach was found sitting in a car collection in Texas and was brought to Germany in 1989, since 2003 with its 2nd owner, a true and experienced Lamborghini specialist. He revised the car both mechanically and visually, documented by numerous bills, and has pampered his pet ever since. Above all the regular services, which are most important for the Countach, have been carried out meticulously. This car, its history and the owner are well known in both German Lamborghini fan clubs. A very rare, sound, original and reliable super sportscar, and an icon of great design, with German M.O.T. ("TÜV") valid until 07/11. +++ Foreign customers are welcome. Car is located in the Frankfurt/Main airport region. Shipping no problem. +++
