While moving from series 1 to series 2, Jaguar's E-type models experienced an intermediate step in 1967/68 which today is called series 1 1/2, recognizable by the omitted headlamp covers, the still small air inlet and the chromed front bumpers not yet covering the air inlet. The rare and elegant 2+2 coupé of that era which is presented here, painted in unusual but all original primrose yellow, came to Germany from the U.S. in 1988, being with its second owner since 1989. He made the car thoroughly and professionally restored during the ninties, and the documentation photos show the body stripped to bare metal before painting was built up again. Scarcely used ever since and due to lots of successive maintenance and service measures, the Jaguar is still in excellent condition and well performing.
